Asked to bat, Gujarat posted a huge total of 201 for five, which the defending champion chased with nine balls to spare.

Beth Mooney (56:42b, 8x4) took Gujarat Giants off to a great start despite not getting support from the top order. She slammed a solid half-century and later skipper Ashleigh Gardner (79:35b, 3x4, 8x6) stole the limelight with her brutal innings. Deandra Dottin (25:13b, 3x4, 1x6) supported her well as the duo added 67 runs for the fourth wicket. Based on the solid contributions, Gujarat posted a total of 201 for five. For RCB, Renuka Singh picked two wickets.

Benglauru had the worst start to their innings as they lost both the openers, Smriti Mandhana and Dani Wyatt-Hodge, early. But Ellyse Perry (57:34b, 6x4, 2x6) kept her team in the hunt with a solid half-century.

Along with Raghvi Bist (25:27b, 3x4), she added 86 runs for the third wicket. Gujarat Giants made a comeback, picking both the batters in quick succession. However, Richa Ghosh (64 not out:27b, 7x4, 4x6) along with Kanika Ahuja (30 not out:13b, 4x4) came up with a superlative effort as they added an unbeaten 93 runs as Bengaluru chased the target with six wickets to spare.
