The Head-Tripathi partnership added 42 runs for the second wicket but after their partnership Rajasthan bowlers pulled back the things incredibly well and put Hyderabad under immense pressure, leaving them tottering at 120 for six. Heinrich Klaasen (50:34b, 4x6) struck a valiant half-century to get his team back in the game. His solid hand with the bat powered Hyderabad to a total of 175 for nine. For Rajasthan, Avesh Khan was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of three for 27. Trent Boult also picked three wickets while Sandeep Sharam bagged two scalps.

In the chase, Yashasvi Jaiswal (42:21b, 4x4, 3x6) took Rajasthan off to a brutal start even as Tom Kohler-Cadmore struggled to get going at the other end. But after the wicket of Jaiswal, nothing went in Rajasthan's favour as they kept losing wickets in quick succession. Skipper Sanju Samson also perished early as the Hyderabad bowlers were all over the batters. Dhruv Jurel (56 not out: 35b, 7x4, 2x6) kept his team in the hunt with his valiant half-century as Hyderabad restricted the opposition to 139 for seven and won the game by 36 runs.
