England Form Guide:

England are the defending champions of the ICC Cricket World Cup. They will start as favorites going into the competition.

England have struck the right form ahead of the mega event. They defeated Ireland by 1-0 in a 3 match series last month. They also emerged victorious against New Zealand by 3-1 in a 4 match ODI series.

The return of Ben Stokes only adds more sharpness in the squad.

Warm up match performance:

England couldn't play the Warm up match against India due to rain. However, in their other encounter against Bangladesh, England won comfortably by 4 wickets (DLS method).

Players to look out for:

1. Ben Stokes - He single handedly won England the 2019 World Cup by displaying his character in the Finals. He is a key player for England in this year's campaign as well.

2. Mark Wood- He is a fast and furious bowler who is vested with the responsibility of picking up wickets with sheer pace. If Wood gets going, England will carry great chances to emerge as World Cup winners for the second time.

New Zealand Form Guide:

New Zealand have picked up good form ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup. They have recently beaten Bangladesh in a 3 match ODI series by 2-0 and that too away from home.

New Zealand were beaten by England in a 4 match series by 3-1 last month, but they have gathered momentum in the warm up games.

The return of Trent Boult in the squad has given great confidence to the bowling unit of Kiwi setup. Based on New Zealand's current form, they are a team to reckon with in the upcoming matches.

Warm up match performance:

New Zealand have won both their warm up matches against Pakistan and South Africa. They chased a tall total of 345 against Pakistan. All of the players including the young guns Rachin Ravindra and Mark Chapman contributed in a winning cause.

Players to look out for:

1. Trent Boult - He is an experienced campaigner who bowls well both with old and the new ball. Boult will hold the key if New Zealand are to progress to the Semi Finals.

2. Kane Williamson - He is making a comeback into the team after an injury break. Williamson has shown great signs of form in the warm up matches and will spearhead the batting of Kiwis.

Let’s have a look at the squads:

England: Jos Buttler (c), Moeen Ali, Gus Atkinson, Jonny Bairstow, Sam Curran, Liam Livingstone, Dawid Malan, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Ben Stokes, Reece Topley, David Willey, Mark Wood, Chris Woakes.
